PEKIN ~ Jason Samuel Wrigley, 48, of Pekin, passed away at 6:05 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2017 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.  He was formerly of Galesburg and Peoria.

He was born June 26, 1969 in Racine, Wisconsin to Samuel W. and Phyllis Janet (Koch) Wrigley.

Surviving are his mother, Phyllis J. Wrigley of Pekin; a sister-in-law, Kathie Johnson of Pekin; a nephew, Brandon (Amy) Carroll of Mapleton; a niece, Cassie of Pekin; an aunt, Connie (Danny) Galvin of Manito and three cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father on February 22, 2010 in Peoria and a half-brother, Rick Johnson.

A graduate of Galesburg High School, Jason attended Western Illinois University and earned his associates degree from Illinois Central College.  He later attended Midwest Technical Institute and became certified in medical coding.

He last worked in medical coding for OSF and previously worked in restaurant management.

Jason was an absolute die-hard Chicago Blackhawks fan.  Contrary to having the last name of Wrigley, Jason was also a fan of the Chicago White Sox.  He enjoyed playing golf for many years.

He was of the Christian faith.

His graveside funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at Toulon Cemetery.  The Rev. William Toliver will officiate.  Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.
