NORTH PEKIN ~ Judith Ann Johnson, 72, of North Pekin, passed away at 3:33 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at UnityPoint Health-Methodist in Peoria.

Born November 25, 1944 in Peoria to Fred and Anna (Osborn) Miller, she married Michael Johnson on August 26, 1962 in Pekin.  He survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Julie (Bryan) Ahten of North Pekin; one son, Andy (Tonya) Johnson of Mapleton; five grandchildren, Jake Ahten, Sara (Billy) Tindall, Madison Johnson, Mackenzie Johnson and Mallory Johnson; four great-grandchildren, Kelela Peters, Olivia Tindall, Ella Tindall, and Taylynn Johnson; two sisters, Jean (Joe) Burns of Branson, Missouri and Carole (Tom) Pugh of Spring Bay; one brother, Fred (Sue) Miller of Dunlap; and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Ashton Johnson.

Judith had worked in the principal’s office for Pekin Community High School District #303, retiring in 1997.  She later worked as the Clerk for the Village of North Pekin for 12 years and was currently serving as a trustee on the board.

She enjoyed fishing in northern Minnesota, gardening, crocheting and OMG!!! canning.  Her greatest joy was her family.

Her funeral will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory in Pekin.  Pastor Tony Darr will officiate.  Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. prior to the service Saturday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Pekin.
